| I had a bunch of epic module format music picked out from ModArchive for the game, it was gonna be fairly simple, but I overlooked one detail on the about page: - Quote :
- All modules are freely downloadable for private use only unless permission for other uses has been granted by the relevant copyright holders.
I don't think we qualify as "private," and I'm not going through the trouble of e-mailing every single artist who's music I would like to use, only to not get a reply or to get brushed off, or to be told no, and have to find another clip again. It'll be easier for me to write music for the game myself, though it'll take a bit longer than if I could just take them from that site. Blueflare has generously offered to help out with this, as well, so that'll take a little weight off my shoulders in that department. Anyway, I have started on the Element Original Soundtrack already. (These are what we'll use for now, but they're not final.) | That music is awesome what program did you use? I've haven't been able to try out music editors since my computer is so slow that it's too much of a hassle :p I've always wanted to make music so maybe I can make some songs but don't worry I'll be content if they don't make it since I'll just be starting XD PS: I liked the battle theme the most

| I second the "what program do you use?" question. I use Modplug Tracker. Also, inspiration struck last night at my friend's house(I was playing with his keytar. Yes, my friend has a keytar.) and I'mma make a new song today or tomorrow. EDIT: http://www.vulomedia.com/audio/audiofiles/62909wahoo.mp3Thur u goe. | |

| I used the Fruity Loops 8 Demo Version for those. I've also used Anvil Studio and Modplug Tracker, which I thought worked well also. I'll check out your composition in a sec, Blueflare. I'll edit when I have. EDIT: Wow, I really like the composition on that, might be good for the menu screen or something. | |

| Alright, I just finished another piece, and an alternate version of it. I think this is the best of the three tunes that I've posted here in terms or quality and overall catchiness (Is that even a word?). The first one could be used for some place, like the first one, or perhaps an icy place. The second one is much faster, and could be used for a boss battle of some sort, maybe. It's a little less smooth than the first, being an altered version of it, but it's still alright, I think. Here's the first one: http://www.box.net/shared/z71dggy0tyAnd the altered version: http://www.box.net/shared/vsbyvlr2pe | |

| Huzzah!
Those are pretty fancy.
Also, maybe the slower one could be for an ice area, and the faster one could be for a boss of the ice area?

The only problem with that idea is that these files are upwards of a megabyte, and if we're using songs like these for a specific enemy, the game's file size will get really big really fast.

| Ooh, yeah, forgot about that.
I hear .oggs are a lot smaller in filesize. Maybe we could convert the musics to that?

| Sure, know any good MP3 to OGG converters? They'll still be big enough that it'll be impractical to have each track be so exclusive, but we should be able to fit more this way, at least. | |

| well I got windows 7 RC onto an fairly new previousely infected laptop and once I get a wireless mouse hooked up I'm a try some editing. Also from the two new songs, I like the faster one the best XD Edit: seems as though I'm not used to the music editors :p so that means I probably won't have any music for a long long... loong time | |

| Finished another one. I was trying to make some music for the first area, but I don't think it fits, so I dunno what I'll use it for. Here it is, all the same: http://www.box.net/shared/a0hkv71asmI think it has a bit of a castle-ish sound to it, personally, so maybe I'll use it for a medieval style town or something. | |
