| I dunno about this one, guys, what do you think? I think it's painfully upbeat, and will get old fast, but it's your call. Do you think it's good enough? http://www.box.net/shared/py5y0kfqld | |

| I don't think it's that upbeat, just kind of repetitive. It's not a bad song though. | |

| I think this one is a little better for the first area. Still doesn't seem explore-ish enough to me, though. I dunno, what do you guys think? It was intended to be a remix to Experimental's first level track, but it kinda went off on its own at some point. http://www.box.net/shared/n3z86pfyesI'm pretty sure I'm just going to go with "Coolsong 1" for the first area, it suits it better than anything else I've come up with. Also thought I'd mention that the total filesize of all the music we've made for the game is already over 11MB. I'm going to have to do some serious compression if we want to keep the average GMC surfer's attention. EDIT: Using the MP3 to OGG converter I found, I can drastically reduce the filesize. Converting the files to OGGs didn't seem to do much, but by reducing the sound quality, I was able to compress a 1815KB Music Track to a mere 445KB. The difference is noticeable if you compare them one after another, but if you're hearing it for the first time, it won't be obvious that you're listening to a compressed music file. In other words, we'll have smaller filesizes, and we can still keep our MP3 format. | |
