Here's the castle, remade into a usable in-game sprite. I tried to match MK's design as much as possible here. This is the image you see in the distance during the first snowy area, there will be a different sprite for up close.

that is really good

the only part i don't like is the door, it looks like it could use some refining

I was about to say it look kinda fuzzy as for the texture but then you mentioned that it was not for up close so that's good then.
